This policy applies to all learners, tutors, assessors, administrators, and any other stakeholders involved in The REH Academy’s learning and assessment processes.
3. Definition of Malpractice
Malpractice refers to any activity or practice that deliberately contravenes regulations and compromises assessment integrity or certification validity. Examples include, but are not limited to:
- Plagiarism or fabrication of work
- Impersonation or fraudulent representation
- Tampering with assessment materials
- Collusion or cheating in assessments
- Misuse of confidential information
- Failure to adhere to assessment regulations
4. Reporting Malpractice
- Any suspected malpractice must be reported in writing to The REH Academy’s designated compliance officer.
- Reports should include details of the alleged malpractice, supporting evidence, and the names of individuals involved.
- Reports can be submitted confidentially, and all concerns will be handled with sensitivity.
5. Investigation Process
- Upon receipt of a malpractice report, The REH Academy will acknowledge the complaint within 5 working days.
- An internal investigation will be conducted within 20 working days, including gathering evidence and interviewing relevant parties.
- If necessary, an independent review may be carried out to ensure impartiality.
- A decision will be communicated to all relevant parties, outlining any actions or sanctions imposed.
6. Consequences of Malpractice Depending on the severity of the malpractice, consequences may include:
- Warning or official reprimand
- Disqualification from assessments or courses
- Revocation of certification
- Legal action in cases of fraudulent activity
7. Appeals Process
Individuals who wish to appeal a malpractice decision may do so in writing within 10 working days of the decision being communicated. Appeals will be reviewed by an independent panel, and a final decision will be provided within 15 working days.
8. Confidentiality & Record Keeping
All malpractice cases will be handled confidentially, and records will be maintained securely for regulatory compliance and quality assurance.
